We're hosting a pop-up shop to share past workshops and material's kits! From July 2-6 we'll release featured maker projects from the first seven months of The Crafter's Box. In this episode we share more on how this pop-up shop will work, what awesome kits it will include and the details on how to participate.

In July, we are working with Rachel Denbow to learn more about the age-old art of batik wax resist dying to create two beautiful wall hangings for the home. Rachel shares about her background in making and what draws her to life as a crafter. As the author of a book, editor of her own blog and contributing writer to others (such as A Beautiful Mess), Rachel has honed her artistic style by practicing a wide variety of different crafting mediums. Batik dying is a special and favorite! This month we are working closely again with husband-and-wife woodworking team Jeff and Cherie Kirschenman who have built the wooden hangers that suspend each beautiful piece of batik art as well. We look forward to you learning more about our featured maker and project for July in The Crafter's Box!

Emily Katz is a macrame artist and workshop teacher from Portland, Oregon. In this episode she shares more about her macrame background, her quickly growing international recognition, as well as our featured macrame lantern project for June!
